A HEYSHAM mum-of-four will be popping up on our TV screens in a new BBC comedy aired on Wednesday evenings.
The comedy 'The Visit' is set entirely in the visiting room of a prison and Hertfordshire-born Claire Biggs plays a prison guard.
Claire moved to Heysham 11 years ago but didn't get into acting until completing two courses in performing arts.
Starting out at Lancaster and Morecambe College, Claire went on to study Performing Arts at Salford University and graduated in July 2007.
Since then she's been fighting off work – appearing in 'The Visit' as a prison guard and in an advert for The Big Blue Wheel car supermarket, which has been aired in the Midlands.
To date though, 'The Visit', which stars Craig Fitzpatrick (Waterloo Road), John Henshaw (Early Doors), Naomi Radcliffe (who played Alison, Kevin Webster's second wife in 'Coronation Street') and Hollywood actor Stephen Martin Walters (Hannibal Rising, Batman Begins, Layer Cake), has been Claire's biggest role.
A modest Claire said: "It really was a very small part, a tiny role. My speaking parts have already been shown on the TV. It was fantastic experience filming it, it really was, but long days.
With a 7am to 7pm day, Claire says the filming was tiring but fun.
"I've got a very supportive partner, Graham Reynolds, and without him I couldn't do it. My kids (Cole, Conran, Mila and Logan) are great too, very supportive. I'm still waiting for my big break really!"
Claire's recently completed an audition for a British film, which may be shown on Channel 4 and is keeping her fingers crossed she'll be selected.
* 'The Visit' is currently running on BBC1 on Wednesdays at 10.45pm.
