FANCY taking up cycling but don't have a bike?
Then Lancaster City Coun-cil's Cycling Demonstration Town project team might just have the solution for you.

In partnership with two local bike hire organisations – Sunshine Cycles in More-cambe and Leisure Lakes in Lancaster – the council is offering two lucky people the chance to try out a bike for a couple of weeks for free.

To get you started, it's also offering free one-to-one training and your own personal bike buddy to show you the best route from A to B.

All you have to do is to keep a record of your journey – any problems you faced, obstacles overcome and pleasant surprises.

Sunshine Cycles can also offer a trailer bike for anyone who wishes to have a go at transporting their young family around.

To be in with a chance of taking part just get in touch by email – celebratingcycling@lancaster.gov.uk – or in writing to CDT Team, Palatine Hall, Dalton Square, Lancaster LA1 1PW, and tell us why you think you would benefit from this opportunity.

Entries must be received by Monday, September 15.
