IT'S as you were at the top of the 3D Sports Northern League after all the matches were rained off on Saturday.

Morecambe's match with Darwen and Carnforth's trip to Leyland were abandoned along with the rest of the fixture list. Lancaster had a scheduled weekend off.

This means that Morecambe will almost certainly need to beat current leaders Netherfield next Saturday at Woodhill Lane to stand a chance of lifting the title.

Morecambe trail the Cumbrians by five points with Blackpool in second, two points in front of Morecambe. Kendal are a point behind Morecambe.

Blackpool's home match next Saturday is already in doubt due to the Stanley Park pitch being under water.

Also off is Sunday's Furness Building Society Cup Final between Morecambe and Preston at Woodhill Lane.

The game was postponed on Friday evening and has been re-scheduled for next Sunday when, if no play is possible, there will be a bowl-out.
